President Obama flew out of Andrews Air Force base during the air show on May 17th, 2009. He flew to Indiana to give a commencement address at Notre Dame. He flew in on the Marine One helicopter and then flew out on Air Force One, a modified 747. A backup 757 followed, in case there were mechanical problems on the primary plane.
