We stayed in Bar Harbor during the Maine part of our summer vacation. Our room had a great view of the bay. These photos were taken from our room's balcony. The town got its name from the sandbar that becomes exposed across the bay at low tide. You can walk across the bay to the island at these times. Some people drove across the sandbar too.
