Joyce and I saw this Barn Owl at the Celery Fields near Sarasota, FL on February 24th, 2007. According to our most excellent bird guide, Rick Greenspun, this bird was released about 10 days earlier after being rehabilitated. It was among 3 chicks found in a building being torn down. The other 2 birds were supposedly in the area too, but we just saw this one.
