Bird Photos / Black Bellied Whistling DuckLast Update: 2/2/2021 |
We saw this group of birds near a golf course outside of Sarasota, FL on February 24th, 2007. The flock had been seen moving around to various lakes and ponds in the area.
Three Black Bellied Whistling Ducks spent part of the summer of 2010 at Cape May, NJ. I saw them on Lighthouse Pond at the State Park on July 31st, 2010. They did not cooperate for photographs, staying either too far away, too well concealed, or too poorly lit for decent photos. I did get the following photos of the ducks. The Black Bellied Whistling Ducks are the ones with the white rings around the eyes and the red-pink bills. The others are Mallards.
I saw these Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks at a retention pond in Smyrna, DE on Jan 18th, 2021.
