I saw this first Bufflehead duck on the pond at Swan Harbor Farms, MD, on January 20th, 2006. After all the mallards and other ducks flew off, this one arrived and had the whole pond to itself.

I saw the next group of Buffleheads from Perryville Park in Cecil County, MD in November 2006.

Joyce and I saw about a hundred Bufflehead at Brigantine NWR in November 2007. This is one of them.

The Bufflehead took off when I got out of the car to take their picture at Bombay Hook NWR on December 27th, 2007.

This female was at Prime Hook NWR, DE on January 19th, 2013.

This Bufflehead flew by the pier at Swan Harbor on March 2nd, 2014.
