I saw this Cattle Egret on a sign along the road at the Brigantine wildlife preserve near Atlantic City, NJ on July 29th, 2006. The bird was very cooperative, and I did not need to leave the car to get these photos. I just opened the passenger side window and drove up slowly and snapped away from a distance of about 4 feet.

These Cattle Egrets were nesting on Poplar Island in the Chesapeake Bay. I saw them on June 5th, 2013.
