I saw this sparrow in a hedgerow in the Bulle Rock area of Havre de Grace, MD on January 27th, 2007. This was my third attempt to find this bird. I even managed to fall down and injure myself slightly on the second, unsuccessful, attempt. The bird was noticeably smaller than the White Throated and Song Sparrows that were with it. The gray neck band and un-striped breast were fairly obvious visually. These photos were taken with a handheld camera, so they aren't the greatest.
