Comet NEOWISE became an unexpected naked eye comet in July 2020. I went out to see it before sunrise on July 12th, and then after dark on July 17th and 18th.

It looked beautiful in the sunrise on July 12th. I took these pictures near the Concord Point Lighthouse in Havre de Grace, MD.

The clouds did not cooperate after sunset on July 17th.

It looked great on July 18th.
