Joyce and I saw this first Common Loon in Sarasota Bay, FL, while on a dolphin watching cruise on February 27th, 2007. We didn't see many dolphins, but we did see some nice birds.

I saw the next birds at the Ocean City, MD inlet on March 17th, 2007. It was very cold and windy and the waves were high, so I had to time the photos to catch the birds when they were visible.

I saw these Common Loons at the inlet at Barnegat Light, NJ on December 22nd, 2007.

Several Common Loons flew over Hidden Valley in Cape May, NJ durng my visit on April 25th, 2009.

This Common Loon, in breeding plumage, was in the main pond at the Lakeside Business park near Edgewood, MD on May 25th, 2009.

This loon ate a small crab near the parking lot of the Ocean City, MD inlet. I saw it on December 31st, 2012.

I saw this one on the Susquehanna River near the Rock Run mill on May 9th, 2013.

This bird was at the Ocean City inlet on January 16th, 2016.
