I saw these first coots in the Susquehanna River near the Havre de Grace Lock House museum, by the Route 40 bridge, on December 10th, 2005. There were 8 of them total. Their light colored bill was very distinctive.

This next coot was standing near some ring billed gulls in the same general place as the ones above. This particular photo was taken on February 26th, 2006. The coots were here pretty much every time I came by.

The next photo shows an immature (left) and mature coots seen in November 2006 on Mill Creek from Perryville Park in Cecil County, MD. They were part of a much larger group.

The next photo shows a group of coots at the Celery Fields site in Sarasota, FL on February 24th, 2007.

This coot was at the Havre de Grace, MD marina on March 1st, 2008.

I saw these birds at Swan Harbor Farms on April 1st, 2012.

This Coot was near the Havre de Grace Promenade on March 23rd, 2014.

I saw these in the same place in April 2018.
