Joyce and I saw this Eared Grebe in the bay from 32nd street in Ocean City, MD on March 9th, 2008. The water was rough and choppy due to high winds, so it was hard to see (and photograph) the bird.

I had much better views of some Eared Grebes during my trip to Southern California in late January 2010.
