We saw these first Northern Harriers from the Stone Harbor area near Cape May, NJ and the hawk watch platform near the Cape May lighthouse in late October, 2005. You can see the copper color of its underside, and the white stripe at the base of its tail.
I saw the bird in the next two photos at Swan Harbor Farms in MD in early October 2006.
I saw the bird in the next photo at Bombay Hook, DE in late December 2006.
