This first Belted Kingfisher flew around the road and parking area near the Club House Road lake in Perryman, MD. It made a very distinctive call, and it flew from tree to tree near the water.

I saw the next bird at Blackwater NWR in Maryland on January 21st, 2007.

I saw the next kingfisher at Bombay Hook in early October 2007.

I saw several kingfishers at Harford Glen, MD on July 13th, 2008.

Joyce and I saw this bird flying around the canal near the Cape May Harbor on October 5th, 2008. We were returning to the dock from our dolphin and whale watching trip.

This kingfisher flew away when I approached it at Harford Glen on October 11th, 2008.

I saw this bird at the picnic area lake at Susquehanna State Park, MD on April 12th, 2009.
