We adopted a puppy from the pound in July, 2004. Her name is Madison, and she is a Labrador Retriever/Terrier mix, according to the people at the shelter. She was born around March 2004, and she is a very sweet dog- gentle, affectionate, and playful. She is also very smart- she knows each of us by name, and she learns tricks very quickly.

These first three photos were taken the day we brought her home- July 18th, 2004.

Andy and Madison play ball during a snowstorm in January, 2005. Madison loves the snow- she'll jump and roll in it, and scoop it up with her nose.

Madison likes to lay down with her blanket in her mouth. She humps it a few times before laying on it and then gathers it up in her mouth like this. It is pretty funny to see.

We took the dogs to the beach for New Years 2008. Madison seemed to have a great time running up and down the beach. She stayed with us most of the time and did not have to chase her down. She would run between Joyce and me along the beach. She also dug a hole, and then sat in it.

Andrew and I took the dogs to a local dog park on July 19th, 2009. Madison ran around and played ball.
