This Rufous Hummingbird was at the home of one of our bird club members near Susquehanna State Park, MD on November 17th, 2012. It had been there for about a week already. It was captured, banded, and released by the local bird banders, who confirmed that this was a hatch year male.

I went back to see it on March 30th, 2013. The bird had survived the winter at Les' feeders and was almost completely molted into its breeding plumage.
