I saw this male Scarlet Tanager from the road running alongside the river in Susquehanna State Park, MD on May 19th, 2007. There was also a female in the vicinity, but I did not get a decent photo of her.
The next bird was in the woods by the Red trail at Susquehanna State Park on May 25th, 2008.
This Scarlet Tanager cooperatively stood in a tree during an MOS conference field trip to Broad Creek scout camp on May 31st, 2008.
I saw this bird in the woods at Swan Harbor Farms on May 1st, 2009.
This bird was along the trail to Turkey Point in Cecil County, MD on September 5th, 2009. The wings were noticeably black in person, so this is a male in non-breeding plumage.
I saw two Scarlet Tanagers along the same trail on September 10th, 2011. The first one is a male in non-breeding plumage. Note the black wings.
I think this is a female. The wings are dark, but not black. The bill is wrong for a Palm Warbler or an oriole.
I saw several Scarlet Tanagers at Susquehanna State Park on May 12th, 2012.
These (in non-breeding plumage) were along the trail to Turkey Point on September 22nd, 2012.
I saw this one in the same place on September 29th, 2012.
This one was there on September 8th, 2013.
I saw this female near Steppingstone Museum on May 28th, 2016.
This male was in Susquehanna State Park on May 7th, 2017.
