This beautiful aurora was visible looking southeast from our backyard. Visibly, we saw a pale green glow- the red wasn't visible from this angle with the unaided eye. Mars is the bright star-like point in the upper right part of the photo. Also, an airplane with its lights can be seen on the right side of the frame.
