Joyce and I went to Cape May, NJ the weekend of October 19-21, 2007. We saw lots of neat birds, and I got a bunch of good photos.
We saw a Pectoral Sandpiper at the Wetlands Institute up by Stone Harbor:

We saw a colony of Black Skimmers on the beach by Cape May city:

Swamp Sparrows hung around the base of the hawk watch platform:

We saw American Wigeon on the Bunker Pond by the hawk watch and on Lily Lake:

We lucked out and were there when the season's first Swainson's Hawk flew by the Hawk Watch:

Common Yellowthroats were very common:

We saw some Gadwall too:

A Great Blue Heron posed for pictures in a stream:
